I hand carved my very own tiny skull in wax before a traditional metalsmithing process known as lost wax casting is used to make a perfect replica of it in precious metal. I love how the hand fabricated nature used to create the skulls really adds an authentic, primitive feel. I solder on ear pins to turn these little castings into a pair of studs.
